Joining the project

How can I join?

The project coordinators welcome proposals from prospective collaborators.

If you are interested in the project and would like to make a contribution, please write to either Research Professor Jean-Christophe Mayer or Professor Emeritus Charles Whitworth giving details of your intended collaboration, your interest in the project and (if applicable) your current academic status. Please check the data coverage page before you apply and the following section on this page - which gives details of our current needs.

Requirements: the project is open to collaborators worldwide. You do not have to be a French resident to join the project. Technically speaking, all you need is a connection to the internet, as the work can be done using your web browser. Once your proposal has been approved by our steering committee, we will explain the nature of the work to you in detail. You will then obtain a login and password to access our project's dedicated web page to enter your data. After verification by a member of our team, your contribution is included in the database.

Benefits: once you have contributed to the project your biographical details and the nature of your corpus are automatically listed on our website in the Team behind the project section. You will also receive personal invitations to take part in our seminars and conferences in Montpellier (France).

Our current needs

There are a number of plays and dramatists which we would like to include in our database in the near future. If you are currently working on any of the following we would be especially pleased to hear from you:

- early Tudor and early Elizabethan dramatists

- minor Elizabethan and Jacobean plays

- the dramatic works of John Ford

- the dramatic works of Thomas Dekker

- the dramatic works of Thomas Heywood

- the dramatic works of Beaumont and Fletcher

- the dramatic works of Philip Massinger

- the dramatic works of Nathan Field

The project coordinators also welcome suggestions of plays and authors of the period which are not listed on this website.
